Wiring adapter for aftermarket radio with ISO wiring (radio only installations)

This adapter converts your factory wiring for aftermarket radios equipped with 2 8 pin ISO connectors, such as the Blaupunkt DAB series of reproduction radios (Hamburg SQM23 DAB, Bremen SQR46 DAB, Frankfurt RCM82 DAB).   

WARNING: your factory wiring shares radio output grounds across channels.  Most modern aftermarket radios REQUIRE separate radio output grounds for each channel, because their internal amplifiers use a  "class D" design with "differential outputs".  If you plan to run your speakers directly from this type of aftermarket radio, you must modify your factory wiring as follows:

OEM Sound System cars:  install our Sound System radio only conversion kit for aftermarket radios.  This is a no-cut solution that adapts your factory wiring to individual radio output grounds.

OEM Radio Only cars: all cars with factory radio only wiring that included a fader connector have shared radio output grounds for each side (FL and RL share grounds, as do FR and RR).  A no-cut wiring solution does not exist unfortunately, but you can still protect your factory wiring by switching to RCA pre-outs and running a small aftermarket amp up front.  Contact us for additional information and the required adapters.
